TipEase Calculator is designed to work primarily on your device. We collect minimal data:

• Usage Data: Anonymous analytics such as app launches, feature usage, and crash reports to help us improve the App.
• Purchase Information: When you subscribe to TipEase Premium, Apple processes your payment. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but do not have access to your payment details.
• Advertising Data: If you are not a Premium subscriber, our advertising partner (Google AdMob) may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve ads.

• Bill amounts and tip calculations: All calculations are performed locally on your device and are never transmitted to our servers.
• Camera images: The receipt scanning feature uses your device camera to read text from receipts in real time. Images are processed entirely on your device using Apple’s VisionKit framework. No photos are stored, saved, or transmitted.
• Personal financial data: We have no access to your bill amounts, tip preferences, or spending patterns.

TipEase Calculator requests your permission via Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework before allowing third-party advertising services to track your activity across other apps and websites. This permission is used solely for ad personalization by Google AdMob.

You can change your tracking preference at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. If you decline tracking, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalized.

For non-Premium users, we display banner advertisements through Google AdMob. Google may collect device identifiers, IP address, general location derived from IP, and ad interaction data.

Apple StoreKit

Subscription purchases are processed by Apple. We use Apple’s StoreKit framework to verify subscription status. Apple’s handling of your purchase data is governed by its own privacy policy.

TipEase Premium includes a receipt scanning feature that uses your device’s camera. This feature:

• Processes receipt images in real time on your device only
• Uses Apple’s VisionKit framework for text recognition
• Does not capture, store, or transmit any photos
• Only extracts numerical amounts (total and subtotal) from the camera feed
• Requires your explicit permission via the iOS camera permission dialog

Since TipEase Calculator does not collect personal data or transmit calculation data, there is no personal data retained on our servers. Your app preferences are stored locally on your device and in your iCloud account via Apple’s standard synchronization.

TipEase Calculator is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We take the security of your data seriously. Since the App processes all data locally on your device, your financial information never leaves your phone. Subscription verification is handled through Apple’s secure StoreKit framework.

• Decline ad tracking via the ATT prompt or in iOS Settings
• Delete the App at any time, which removes locally stored data
• Request information about any data we may hold by contacting us

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy in the App or on this page with an updated effective date.
